Tehlia was looking for administration work and was happy that Skillhire offered her a trial at their Nara Training business.
During the trial Tehlia grew in confidence and learnt what she needed to do to complete the role successfully. At the end of the trial Skillhire offered her a traineeship in business administraion.
Youth Jobs PaTH (Prepare-Trial-Hire) allows a business to trial an eligible young person aged 17–24 in a work experience placement (called a PaTH internship) for between 4 and 12 weeks to find out if they are right for the role.
Skillhire said “the internship process worked well, as a business it allowed us to train and develop Tehlia without it being a cost on our business. Tehlia thoroughly enjoys her role and we are privileged to have this great young woman work for us.”
