Samy Medical Practice – another employer to benefit from PaTH

Youth Jobs PaTH helped a community-spirited medical practice establish their business with local staff.

Samy Medical Practice opened in Rockingham in October 2017 and needed a Patient Relations Officer to support their medical team. The practice owners wanted to employ young local people and reached out to employment provider atWork Australia who connected them with Reece Cleaver.

During a 12-week trial, Reece demonstrated that he shared the owners’ commitment to providing a welcoming and friendly service. Professor Samy decided Reece was the right fit for the business and offered him a paid employment after the trial.

atWork Australia supported Samy Medical Practice and Reece throughout the trial. Before Reece started, atWork Australia helped him to get a National Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate both of which were essential for working at the practice.

Getting a job with Samy Medical Practice was the break Reece needed. Reece had limited work experience and had found it tough to get a job since leaving school.

“I am over the moon with gaining employment and love my new job,” said Reece.
